At LUCA Innovation Day 2018, under the motto "Science without fiction", we presented the evolution of LUCA's solutions and how we can help both public and private organizations on the road to intelligent decision-making. Opening the event was Adrián García Nevado, Director of Large Clients and central territories of Telefónica Spain, who passed over to Chema Alonso, CDO of Telefónica, who spoke about the "The Road of Big Data to AI". He touched on the latest advances and transformation driven within Telefónica that can be applied to other businesses. In addition to his lecture, along with Julia Llanos, they demonstrated how to apply Artificial Intelligence in companies step by step.
Elena Gil, CEO of LUCA, presented the evolution and consolidation of solutions and technological integrations that we have developed in LUCA this year. She showcased various success stories with recognized clients in the banking, transport and energy sectors. In addition, event attendees got to learn face to face from our experts about LUCA's solutions in the demo corners, during the coffee and cocktail breaks. The day ended with a presentation by David del Val, CEO of Telefónica R + D, who showed the most creative side of Artificial Intelligence thanks to the recent invention of GANs and the many positive applications that they will bring.
At the Big Data Innovation Day 2017, LUCA presented their new solutions and technological integrations, in order to transform organizations into data-driven ones. The event began with the welcome presentation of Javier Magdalena, Director of Digital Business and TSOL at Telefónica Spain. The talks then kicked off with Chema Alonso, who presented the "four jewels" of LUCA in his talk Big Data: Innovation without limits.
Also, we presented new solutions and technological integrations that we have developed at LUCA in our first year and different case studies with recognized clients in sectors such as retail, tourism, banking, logistics or transport, amongst others. We showed the value of Big Data, which combines data with insights in order to make data-driven decisions, and is a reality present in society that offers many economic benefits to companies as well as contributing to a better society. To close, we revealed the collaboration between LUCA and Movistar Riders with a real-time demo that showed how to analyze the relationship between performance of the player and Big Data.
